Most of what I know started with a question, an SSH terminal, and something that refused to work. Rather than relying solely on high-level abstractions, I like understanding how the layers connect underneath — how DNS queries resolve, how reverse proxies route packets, how containers communicate, and how serverless runtimes execute WebAssembly bytecode at the physical edge.
